Bio

Cedrick Jackson is the associate head coach at Frederick Community College. Jackson has over 10 years of combined coaching experience. He joins the Cougars staff after serving 3 seasons as the head JV men’s coach and an assistant varsity coach at Tuscarora High School in Frederick Maryland (2018-2021). Coach Jackson lead the JV men’s team at Urbana High school and played an important role as an assistant coach for the Hawks varsity staff (2016-2018). When first moving to Maryland, Jackson coached at Brunswick High and Middle Schools for four years, serving all four seasons as an assistant coach (2012-2016). 

Cedrick is wired to win,” FCC head coach Darryl Whiten said. “He is very highly regarded across the profession as someone who has what it takes to be a head coach one day. Cedrick is extremely detail-oriented and is an experienced and proven coach in all aspects of the job. Whether it is game preparation or player development, no job is too big or too small for Cedrick. His values are aligned with our culture, and he is another proven winner joining our program. Cedrick is an absolute grinder, and I can’t wait to work with him each day.” 

Cedrick is originally from Jacksonville Beach, Florida “Duuuval” where he helped on the varsity staff at his alma mater Duncan U. Fletcher high school before moving to the Frederick Maryland area back in 2013.
