
Igwebe Selected NJCAA DII Region 20 Player of the Month for December
FCC Cougars men's basketball small forward #3 Aiden Igwebe was selected Region 20 DII Player of the Month for December. Igwebe stood out in December with consistent and impactful performances on both ends of the court. His well-rounded contributions were pivotal in helping the Cougars achieve a 2-5 record for December.
Igwebe started all seven games for FCC and played 236 minutes. He is averaging 18.4 points per game in December, with a 54.3% field goal percentage and an impressive 42.9% accuracy from beyond the arc. He has shown his ability to score from anywhere on the court and shoot a staggering 81% from the free-throw line, making 17 out of 21 attempts.
In addition to being an offensive threat, Igwebe is a defensive menace. In December, he averaged 8.4 rebounds per game, pulling down 59 boards, two-thirds of which were on the defensive side of the court. He also averaged 1.0 steals and 1.6 blocks per game.
His best performance came on the road against Garrett College, scoring 33 points with 10 rebounds and four blocks in 40 minutes, shooting 82.4% from the field and 60% from three-point land.
