Bio
On April 21, 2025, Rodney Bennett, Director of Athletics, announced that Kevin Conley was hired as the Head Coach of the Frederick Community College Women's Soccer Team for the 2025 season. A fixture in Frederick County soccer for over two decades, Coach Conley brings a wealth of experience, a passion for player development, and a proven track record of success at the high school, club, and youth levels.
Conley served as the varsity boys' soccer coach at Walkersville High School from 2000 to 2015, becoming the all-time winningest coach in program history. During his tenure, he led the team to a county championship in 2000, two conference titles, multiple regional final appearances, and earned recognition as the Frederick County Coach of the Year in 2005 and 2007 and MACS Coach of the Year in 2007.
From 2021 to 2024, Conley helped revitalize Walkersville’s girls’ soccer program as the assistant head coach. Under his guidance, the JV program expanded significantly, and he played a key role in organizing preseason tournaments and leading major field renovation projects. The varsity squad captured the CMC Championship and earned the #1 seed in the region in 2023.
At the club level, Conley has spent over 15 years coaching with FC Frederick and Frederick Excel, guiding boys’ U15–U19 teams to multiple league championships, including two President’s Cup titles and a regional final appearance. He has amassed over 200 club wins and played an instrumental role in merging Excel with United to form FC Frederick, where he also served as Vice President and Equipment Director.
Conley holds a USSF B License, having completed numerous coaching courses and clinics through U.S. Soccer. His dedication to the game extends beyond the sidelines, as a community leader in youth soccer development through GVAA and Rocky Hill Middle School. As Soccer Co-Commissioner for GVAA, he helped launch year-round programming and the Lions Select tournament teams.
He is also an active member of the Frederick County Soccer Hall of Fame, where he served as President from 2022–2024. During his tenure, he helped re-establish the Frederick County Senior All-Star Showcase and co-founded the Lescalleet-Sheffler Scholarship, benefiting graduating soccer athletes across the county.
Coach Conley’s deep roots in the Frederick soccer community, coupled with his commitment to student-athlete development, make him a tremendous addition to the FCC Athletics family. He is excited to build a competitive and character-driven program.
