The Frederick Community College Cougars women's soccer team fought for 90 minutes but came up short in a 6-0 loss to Allegany College of Maryland on Tuesday afternoon at home. The Cougars created chances in both halves, with midfielder Alyssa Pizer leading the attack by recording five shots, including two on target. Rosalia Gallegos added two attempts as Frederick continued to press forward against the Trojans defense.
Despite the Cougars' efforts, Allegany capitalized on their opportunities, scoring twice in the first half before pulling away with four more goals in the second. Goalkeeper Gabriella Lindblade went the full 90 minutes, standing tall against constant pressure from the Trojans' attack.
The Cougars move to 1-5 on the season and will look to regroup quickly as they return to action on Thursday, October 2, when they host Anne Arundel Community College at 2:00 PM.
